𝙎𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙮, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩. It’s a reflection on my last 4 years and maybe, just maybe, 𝙞𝙩’𝙡𝙡 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙝.I started, like many, juggling college and internships, launching startups, freelancing, consulting - hustling hard. I made my share of mistakes, learned from them, and thought, why not share those lessons with you? 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙨 𝙄 𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤.Last week, I came across a Swiggy CEO Rohit Kapoor video. He questioned the hustle at all costs mindset that makes us forget the people and moments that truly matter. And it hit hard.Then, the tragic news of a young CA girl passing due to work pressure broke my heart. 𝙃𝙚𝙧 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙨, 𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 - 𝙜𝙤𝙣𝙚.For what? For whom? Her company? No. The loss was only hers and her loved ones.Here’s what I’ve learned:𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 :Yes, we all need the paycheck, but don’t let your whole life revolve around it. On your deathbed, you won’t wish you worked more. You’ll wish you spent more time with loved ones, chased your passions, and lived for You.𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙯𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 :Building companies, freelancing, and even offering free services to those who didn’t value them, I sacrificed my health. Now I know better. Without your health- mental and physical - nothing else truly matters. Trust me, the grind can wait.𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥𝙨 : Make time for your parents, partner, kids, and close friends. Don’t let work steal away those moments. Say “No” after work hours. Doubting myself just because my path is non-traditionalInstead of going for a 9-5 corporate safe option, I opted for a much riskier path and went for freelancing. My first-ever paycheck was a straight $1000(But it took me 8 months to reach that)I didn’t earn a single penny in those 8 months.I worked till 7 in the morning to get it done.I was degraded by one of my best friends.I reached out to over 80+ leads/ clients.I signed on to 3 freelancing platforms.I had the worst of the worst days.I worked for 3 months for free.I was rejected 18+ times.But wait, I didn’t give up either.I worked where I lacked.I understand how things work.I invested time in upskilling every day.I even took breaks when I felt burned out.I stayed disciplined when I wanted to give up.I dumped the “i-know-it-all” attitude and asked for help.I started taking life more seriously because the future depends on me.(and I am too pretty to live a bad life)I knew I had the skyrocket-ed potential, I was only knocking at the wrong doors.It took me a looong time to figure out only how to communicate professionally and how to present myself in the best possible light. My Plans for 2024 ✨In the past year, I have been deeply involved in freelancing and consulting for startups, SMBs, and corporations.I have helped companies in optimizing structures and processes, validating, building, and launching products in markets, working alongside amazing teams.It has been, and continues to be, a wonderful experience. With each new client, I always learn something new.But frankly speaking, when companies hire Freelancers or Consultants, they obviously expect that you put meat on the table. I would too. But often, there isn't a real opportunity or space to implement new methods, technologies, or test innovative ideas.I've realized more than ever the importance of having side projects, where I can flex my muscles and do them rips. I want to validate product ideas, similar to what I did for many clients while running my agency, and I plan to share this process here on LinkedIn with you.I firmly believe that identifying and solving problems from the ground up, using a bootstrapping approach, is the best way to achieve business success.So what content is in it for you? 💡 Product Innovation ↳I am convinced that Product Innovators who don't use AI, will be replaced by the ones that do. From Research, Data Analysis, Ideation, Concept, Prototyping to Building - AI should be your new Co-Pilot. I want to share methods how to use AI in the appropriate areas. 🧪 Validating Product Ideas ↳ I intend to openly share how I progress from an idea to a validated product. My brain got so pumped up with ideas; I thought it might burst, but in a good way. Now, I'm not just a nerd; I'm a bit of a collector of cool stuff. So, I decided to spoil myself by building the dream setup. And let me tell you, it's a work in progress — I'm still throwing in gadgets like confetti at a party. Materialistic? Maybe.🙄 Proud? Absolutely! As I pieced it all together, I couldn't help but feel like a tech wizard on a quest for digital greatness.But wait, there's more!
